Classic Kitchen & Dining

This beautiful home situated in Owen Sound already had so much character to go around, But the homeowners needed to expand the kitchen and dining area to function more towards their needs.
Working with beloved pieces in mind, we needed to connect the two separated spaces to work as one.
We did this by creating an open throughway, removing the existing small corner kitchen, and creating a long stretch of counter from the kitchen to the dining room.
This added tons of storage for our clients as well as workspace.
Using Tall floor to celling cabinets in the dining room, defines this regal space, offering a beautiful location for our clients most favorite things.
We went with a wood floating shelf under the short window to bridge this area and to tie into the wood accents in the kitchen.   We wanted to see a healthy balance of open spaces and storage so we opted to keep the wood floating shelf consistent as a feature around the stunning custom range hood.
Our client was bold in choosing champagne bronze hardware for the cabinets which we also chose to repeat with the faucet & pot filler. To take this concept to another level our clients matched this energy by purchasing gold counter top appliances that are just perfect in every way.

Another project goal was to tie into the beloved wall colour the client had already used in the open concept living room. We carried this colour into the kitchen and married it with the most beautiful tile floor.  We found a patterned tile that also complimented the blue walls and used this to create an area rug under the dining table.  A bold design choice, but executed so well by the tiler.
To warm up the cool tones we chose the most subtle creamy cabinet colour,  herringbone backsplash and a quartz countertop with a warm honey veining.  Just Stunning.

As a finishing touch, we worked to incorporate our clients cherished chandelier and dining set that holds so much history and love for their family.

This renovation was a dream in the making and we are so blessed to have been a part of it.
