COZY MODERN FARMHOUSE

This stunning property, located in Port Elgin, was completed in 2020.

Inspired by our clients love of the modern farmhouse aesthetic, we had many existing character pieces to draw from to help make this new build a home. Make no mistake, this design collaboration was strongly led by our homeowner who has a wonderful eye for beautiful things. This was an excellent match for our team.

On the main floor we established a fantastic and functional kitchen layout that has so much detail. We choose to do two-toned lacquered painted cabinetry and complimented it with warm wood tones as seen on the range hood, floating shelving and in the roller blinds. The base cabinets and the kitchen island, painted in Benjamin Moore's "Night Train", make a strong statement when paired with the clean, white wall cabinetry, crisp white countertops and timeless subway backsplash to the ceiling. To take this design one step further, our client was not afraid to mix her metals and went with champagne bronze hardware, stainless steel fixtures and sprinkled in black details to round out the look. We carried these finishes through the bathrooms on each floor for continuity.

Light fixtures are a staple in this home. We carefully helped our client choose each piece and assisted her in placing them in the perfect spot. Every corner in this home is beautifully illuminated to allow each space to feel warm and cozy.
